Tuesday, July 6, 10-11:30am: Watercolor and Crayon Resist
Learn about and try out this delightful medium that is non-toxic and easy to clean up. First we'll use oil pastels on paper making some fun shapes and geometric designs. Then we'll paint a layer of watercolor on top. You'll be surprised at the beautiful results.

Tuesday, July 13, 10-11:30am: Printmaking
You can make beautiful prints by drawing a picture on a Styrofoam tray, rolling water-based printing ink on it, and pressing it on paper. We'll try out different colors of ink and a variety of paper colors to vary our results.

Tuesday, July 20, 10-11:30am: Draw a Portrait with Charcoal
Learn the basics of drawing a face using charcoal, a traditional artist's medium. We'll talk about the proportions of the head and features and learn how to sketch a face to make a resemblance.

Tuesday, July 27, 10-11:30am: Clay Pinchpots
Make a simple pinch box or a coiled box using self-hardening clay. This special clay air dries and will not need to be glazed when hardened. Learn the basics of using clay, learn to add interesting textures to your pot, and more.
