Registration Deadline:

Event dates: October 14-15, 2006, noon - 5pm.

The Seventh Annual Arlington Open Studios is a town-wide event for visual artists (painters, photographers, ceramics, metal smiths, fiber artists, sculptors, etc.) to exhibit and sell their work in a large-scale community festival atmosphere.

Open Studios strengthens the arts community by supporting artists and encouraging connections between artists, giving the public an opportunity to see artists and their artwork, make potential exhibition connections, and let people know that Arlington is a destination for the Arts!

New in 2006: AOS will be located exclusively at the Arlington Center for the Arts Building at 41 Foster Street in Arlington.

Important Information

AOS will occur on Saturday and Sunday, October 14-15, 2005 from noon-5pm.
This year the event is open to everyone, Arlington and non-Arlington artists.
There is a $40.00 fee for Arlington artists, $50.00 for non-Arlington artists to participate.
The deadline for registration is June 2, 2006.
Artists are required to be present both days, and are responsible for hangingand dismantling their work

AOS Discount Program

ACA encourages all Arlington Open Studios artists to offer a discount to ACA members (you chose the amount - 5%, 10%, or more). In return for your discount to our members, we will highlight your name in bold on the Open Studios brochure, bringing you more visibility and more buyers! Please check the appropriate box on the registration form to participate.

Gibbs Gallery

Open Studios Group Exhibit at the Arlington Center for the Arts' Gibbs Gallery

October 2-November 5: Two works may be submitted. The best of the two (or both) will be juried and exhibited. At least one work will be selected. All artists are strongly encouraged to submit. This is the best way to promote your work for this event.

Closing Reception

Sunday November 5, 2-4pm. A celebration of Open Studios 2006, and a time for artists to give their feedback on how the AOS weekend unfolded for them.

Contributions

We welcome any and all support. If you know of a local business or Individual donor who is interested in contributing to AOS, please contact Pam Shanley at 781-648-6220 or e-mail pam@acarts.org. With more support, we can offer more advertising and outreach to promote this event.

Volunteers

Volunteers are needed in many areas, such as distributing brochures, staffing information booths, and installing the group show. If you would like to help, please check off the volunteer box at the bottom of the registration form. No job Is too small; all help is appreciated!
